The Scientific Intern will perform material compatibility cycles and prepare biological indicators and test articles for microbial efficacy studies on devices provided by Original Equipment Manufacturers for testing with STERIS products. They will employ microbiology methodologies including aseptic technique, plate counting, and serial dilutions. The position will require accurately maintaining and recording test data. Must possess the ability to perform and accurately document tasks according to established Work Instructions and written protocols in a timely manner. Must be able to work on multiple studies at different stages of the process.
This internship is for Spring 2020 semester.
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry is preferred
Requires 0-2 years of related laboratory experience
