JOB SUMMARYThe Corporate Intern role offers an exciting opportunity to gain skills and knowledge while contributing to the overall success of the Business Technology team in the IT department. Business Technology focuses on Border States' customer technologies, including; ecommerce, custom web apps and mobile applications. This internship aims to provide an individual with challenging, real-world projects specific to their career path. The ideal candidate will have high-energy and enthusiasm for technology and customer experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    Essential Functions

  • Assists in support, maintenance, and business process enhancements within BSE's customer facing technologies including ecommerce, punch-out integrations, Product Management Information (PMI) system, etc.
  • Creates and executes functional test cases for new program implementations.
  • Verifies test results meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Assists in managing technology projects through the entire project lifecycle which includes managing multi-phase/multi-dimensional/multi-resource projects to their conclusion while maintaining high customer satisfaction and ensuring cross-project requirements are identified and detailed for cohesive design and end user experience.
  • Collaborates with business, development and other teams to write technical and functional documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and process which includes end-user documentation (training) to describe new or enhanced functionality.

    Non-essential Functions

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or designate.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current student or new graduate (within last year) in a 2 or 4-year degree program.
  • Strong knowledge of business office procedures, office equipment operation, data entry/keyboarding skills and communication systems helpful.
  • Requires strong knowledge of PC for Windows and Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and OneNote).
