The Enterprise Application Engineer is a critical member our Enterprise Monitoring team and plays a key role in our APM adoption and EV automation mission. As a member of the team you will work with other SMEs and application Engineers / Developers to build out mission-critical services, tools, and processes which will ensure the highest level of availability and reliability across Deluxe's applications, platforms and services. In this role you will be responsible for deploying and configuring application monitoring and event management tools, which provide proactive and reactive alerting as well as rich data management capabilities. Provide support of the event management system and application performance monitoring systems. Drive adoption of standard practices to proactively manage and resolve system state before they impact the business

• Performs onboarding of applications across Deluxe to enable monitoring and alerting with best practices and standard APM tools.
• Partners with key stakeholders (IT & Business) to drive adoption of monitoring and event management systems.
• Understanding complex application frameworks and flows and assist with developing and implementing monitoring solutions
• Implement and ensure reliable and complete testing (synthetic and real-time) of applications.
• Leveraging integrations between event management tools and ticketing system (ServiceNow)
• Provide application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs.
• Serve as a Subject matter expert on APM tools

Basic Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Bachelors in Computer Science or related field and 2 years or HS/GED and 6 years of similar IT experience

• 2+ years of experience in application monitoring such as AppDynamics, Solar Winds, New Relic, DataDog, Splunk, Dynatrace etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Bachelors in Computer Science or related field and 4 years or HS/GED and 6 years of Application monitoring, management and design

• 2+ years of experience with App Dynamics
• Develops an understanding of business complexities, problems or opportunities & applies knowledge, skills, & experiences to a solution/outcome
• Problem-solving approach, combined with a solid awareness of ownership, initiative and drive.
• Effectively applies critical thinking to understand and solve problems, makes well thought out decisions to quickly and positively create results
• Uses moderate to high level techniques to challenge the status quo, asks questions, takes risk, takes ownership, and accepts and learns from failure
• Leverages existing skills to effectively interact with peers, teams, business partners, & management to understand & document business & IT decisions.
• Demonstrates outstanding communication, flexibility, teamwork and leadership
