Position Description:

SI is seeking senior evaluators for upcoming Decentralized Evaluations (DEs) released under its Long-Term Agreement with the World Food Programme (WFP). WFP DEs are commissioned and managed by Country Offices and Regional Bureaus and cover programs, activities, pilots and themes at the sub-national, national and multi-country level.

SI is seeking evaluators with experience conducting evaluations in the following thematic areas:

  • School Feeding Programs
  • Social Protection/Safety Net Programs
  • Resilience and Recovery
  • Food Security
  • Child Nutrition
  • Livelihoods
  • Support to refugees and host populations

Responsibilities:

  • With the Team Leader, help design and conduct the evaluation.
  • Oversee the data collection and data synthesis efforts.
  • Contribute to quality control and timely submission of all client deliverables.
  • Contribute to drafting and presenting interim/final evaluation reports to WFP.
  • Provide key technical context to the evaluation methods team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a master's degree, or equivalent, in economics, political science, statistics, sociology or a related field.
  • Over 12 years of experience evaluating humanitarian and/or development programs.
  • Experience conducting evaluations with WFP, other UN Agencies, or multilateral organizations.
  • Strong skills in quantitative and qualitative data analysis and collection.
  • Excellent knowledge of Stata or other similar statistical analysis software.
  • Proven strong team-work skills and ability to deliver results within specified and often changing timeframes.
