Principal Investigator, STEM Evaluations | Domestic Division | Remote

Position Description:

SI is seeking a Principal Investigator (PI) for a proposal to evaluate a multi-state STEM program. The PI would lead studies on a task-by-task basis as they relate to measuring outcomes of a workforce development and STEM education program surrounding community-based partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Design research methodology for multi-state, multi-site evaluation
  • Oversee research team and data collection
  • Conduct the IRB approved research protocol
  • Follow all SI and client procedures for the ethical conduct of human subjects research
  • Respond promptly to all participant concerns and questions
  • Maintain subject confidentiality
  • Maintain cultural sensitivity
  • Responsible for all study reporting, presentations, and deliverables

Qualifications:

  • PhD in a related field (education, STEM, engineering, etc.). or MA with related research experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of research and evaluation experience
  • Prior experience in PI role preferred
  • Experience leading K-12 STEM related evaluations required
  • Experience with experimental and quasi-experimental studies required
  • Experience evaluating programs with school and community partnerships preferred
  • Experience negotiating data sharing agreements with schools preferred
  • Experience working with institutions of higher education preferred
  • Ability to perform work remotely and on site where necessary
