As a Signature Systems Engineer you will:

A week in the life of a Signature Systems Engineer:

• Provide daily signal processing support, including operating and maintaining laboratory acoustic data processing systems.
• Assistacoustic analyst in acoustic analysis system set up, data archiving, calibration, and reporting functions.
• Update laboratory systems related installation, operations, and maintenance documentation.
• Provide support for laboratory efforts.
• Develop enhancements to acoustic data acquisition, deformatters, beamformers, beamsteering, telemetry interfaces, array health assessments, sensor configurations, visualization tools, data and knowledge management tools, automation tools, report generation tools, and other signal processing methods.
• Support NSWCCD engineers in the development of new acoustic data processing equipment and associated Research and Development (R&D) efforts.
• Assist NSWCCD engineers in developing functional and performance requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics.
• Have an active Secret security clearance.

At least 4+ years of experiece in:

• Development, testing, or operational deployment of signature measurement systems.
• Conducting R&D efforts to support the design and evaluation of time series data recorded from sonar systems/sensors for post processing and analysis.
• MS Office tools, C#, LINUX RED HAT, MS SQL, MATLAB, JIRA, ACROBAT, ADOBE AUDITION, or AUDACITY.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $81,000 - $125,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
