Job Description

Are you aSenior Engineer / Analyst (Missile Systems)with demonstrated experience in supporting DoD MDAP acquisition programs, developmental test and evaluation programs, and systems analysis? Then we have a challenging opportunity for you to supportDevelopmental Test, Evaluation, and Assessments in the Pentagon.Special emphasis will be on new technology, gigital engineering, hypervelocity missiles and associated topics.

Aa aSenior DTE&A Engineer/Analyst (Missile Systems)you will:

  • Leverage your experience to provide Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) and systems engineering analytical support of Missile Defense MDAP acquisition programs including Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) programs to the Director for Developmental Test, Evaluation, and Assessments (DTE&A).
  • Use your subject matter expertise to lead evaluation and integration of emerging technologies driving weapons system development including hypervelocity missiles, ICBM technology, and advanced AI utilization.

A week in the life of aSenior DTE&A Engineer/Analyst (Missile Systems):

  • Monitor the progress of Missile Defense Systems and MDA's acquisition programs with service and OSD staffs, program offices, and contractors to ensure adequacy and thoroughness of DT&E.
  • Review and evaluate Test and Evaluation Master Plans, plus system-level detailed developmental test plans.
  • Evaluate test results, systems engineering events, schedules, resources, and technological risks for program systems engineering reviews.
  • Conduct a thorough test evaluation and draft a Developmental Test Analysis and Independent Technical Risk Assessment to support program Milestone Decisions by the OSD Decision Authority.
  • Advise the Director for DTE&A on technical management aspects of policies, programs, and alternatives as they relate to DoD DT&E issues for assigned programs.
  • Represents Director for DTE&A to other OSD offices and Service acquisition managers.

Job Requirements
  • Twenty or more years working within DoD missile programs or related work.
  • Master of Science degree desired;Bachelor of Science Degree required.
  • Experience must be in the DoD MDAP program acquisition processes, test and evaluation, systems engineering and systems analysis, and associated DoD policy.
  • Experience working with various data sources and producing data-rich analytical products.
  • Top Secret Clearance,SCI Eligible.
  • Subject matter expert in missile systems, related C4I systems, missile-defense systems, supporting sensors and networks and hypervelocity systems desired.
  • Experience with the DoD acquisition programs, developmental testing, cyber testing, and test planning.
  • Experience with the DoD acquisition systems,MDAP programs, T&E policy, developmental testing, cyber testing, and test planning.
  • Ability to quickly draft technical issue papers, staff summaries, memoranda, and briefings, including translating program technical issues into executive-level terms for senior decision makers and government staff assistants.
  • Ability to prepare and present evaluation and assessment of test results to senior decision makers.
  • Experience with Service and OSD-level operating practices, Joint Staff, Navy Staff, program office relationships and T&E execution organizations; knowledge of the functions and practices of the OSD organization and its responsibility for oversight of major defense acquisition programs.
  • Excellent command and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
