Job Overview

The Regional Sales Manager is instrumental in implementing regional goals and objectives to assure the overall company sales initiatives are met. Responsible, within an assigned geographic territory, for the regional sales management GAI-Tronics and other Hubbell add-on products to distributors, end users and contractors. Additionally, is responsible for working with Engineers and Consultants in furthering the specifications of GAI-Tronics and/or solutions.

A Day In The Life
  • Account responsibility directed at medium to large electrical consulting engineering firms, owners and architectural firms.
  • Proficient at following the construction / project tracking cycle.
  • Target Commerical and Industrial accounts to generate specifications that lead to project orders.
  • Coordinate Project opportunities with the regional internal MREP's and FSR's.
  • Conduct training seminars at target specifying engineering and architectural firms.
  • Strategic interaction with target electrical contractors and distributors involved in the project cycle.
  • Communicate through the National Sales Manager on project opportunities, results and issues.
  • In conjunction with the National Sales Manager initiate and develop annual sales plans to achieve District, Regional and National objectives.
  • Communicate with Marketing on new products and sales tools to better penetrate the industrial and commercial markets.
  • Travel up to 75%
What will help you thrive in this role?
  • 4-8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a BS/BA in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or other Industrial or Engineering Management disciplines. An MBA is a plus.
  • Agent sales or specification sales experience is preferred. Additional experience working with Electrical Distributors desired.
  • 4-8 years of comprehensive knowledge/experience in sales, with electrical based knowledge is desired.
  • Heavy Industrial or Commercial Industry experience preferred
  • Must be proficient in MS Office applications, e-mail and other PC application skills.
