SSP America is hiring a Procurement Business Needs Manager! Under the direction of senior team members, you will manage all phases of new unit openings and supplier set up processes of the procurement function for all SSP restaurant and concession units located within major airports.

  • Position is remote and requires up to 15% travel throughout the US and Canada
  • Preferred EST and CST time zones

Essential Functions

  • Function as purchasing liaison for operations, culinary, brands, business development, and accounting teams for active and new airport / unit openings resolving procurement challenges and other vendor management activities.
  • Helps identify the preferred suppliers and products to support the new unit opening needs and services required to support the business.
  • Work closely with Culinary and Brands team to source products for all new unit openings.
  • Provide new unit opening support with SSP's supplier partners to help achieve successful openings and compliance to preferred products.
  • Coordinate the resolution of field purchasing issues for new airport set ups and vendor set ups.
  • Attend Weekly RRP/RDP/ROP calls and other related calls for new unit openings.
  • Assist in the coordination and management of supplier partner equipment installations for existing and new unit openings.
  • Manage several projects and participate in frequent meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Keep current on procurement changes related to brand suppliers, specified items, airport listing, operational contacts, product recall announcements, field completion tracking, and company announcements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Education & Experience

  • Required High school diploma/certificate. Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) required in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration, or another related field of study, or may substitute a minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in procurement related disciplines in lieu of bachelor's degree.
  • Required 5 years of successful foodservice procurement experience in multiple food categories in the US and Canadian marketplace. Must have demonstrated experience delivering results in a similar position, preferably in a large, enterprise level hospitality, food service/food and beverage, or airport industry.
  • Strong project management and food service procurement experience, acting as a supply chain and logistics subject matter expert specializing in implementing cost-effective, quality purchases of goods and services, per company standards.
