MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:(Click on the aforementioned link to learn how Fairfax County interprets equivalencies for "Any combination, experience, and training equivalent to") Graduation from a four-year college or university accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technologies with a bachelor's degree in the appropriate engineering or architectural field; plus four years of progressively responsible professional experience in the appropriate engineering field.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
A valid driver's license required.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position is considered "essential personnel" and will be required to report to work during times designated countywide as approved for unscheduled leave regardless of the emergency situation (i.e., weather, transportation, other disaster).
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, and a driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to access facility equipment rooms, attics and roofs. Must be able to climb ladders. Must be able to communicate by telephone and computer. Must be able to discern color for review and monitoring of electronic systems. Must have eyesight adequate to review engineering plans. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
