We are currently seeking a Inspector to support our growing team in our Baltimore, MD office.

Responsibilities:

The Inspector will be responsible for ensuring contractors compliance through reviewing interpreting and enforcing of plans and contract documents for efficient and timely inspection of the contractor's work, and shall:

• Ability to work in a team environment to plan, coordinate, inspect and oversee project activities of Pavement Marking Restoration.
• Ability to interpret Site Plans
• Apply knowledge and experience towards the inspection of Paving and Pavement Marking installation using required standards and specifications.
• Apply engineering principles in the inspection and documentation of construction activities.
• Oversee and aid in the approval of Field Changes to meet field conditions.
• Maintain comprehensive project records and documentation using eConstruction software.
• Conduct testing of materials following local Standards and Specifications
• Oversee the installation and maintenance of Erosion and Sediment Control devices to insure they are placed per the approved plan and within required specifications.
• Apply Best Management Practices to safety activities.
• Communicate with various stakeholders including Local, State and Federal Governments
• Ability to Physically perform essential duties such as, Walking, Standing, Bending, and lifting loads weighing up to 80lbs.

Qualifications:

The Inspector qualifications for this role include:

• Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management or Similar Field.
• 1+ years' experience in inspection or Roadway Construction
• Must be current with or able to obtain the following certifications
• Mid-Atlantic Region Technician Certification Program (MARTCP)

o Concrete

o HMA (Asphalt)

o Soils & Aggregates (Including Nuclear Gauge)

o Pavement Markings

* Sediment and Erosion Control

o Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) Responsible Personnel Certification (RPC), formally called Green Card

o SHA Erosion and Sediment Control Yellow Card

* Temporary Traffic Control Manager

* OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety

• ATSSA Pavement Marking Technician Certificate
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience operating computer equipment, software programs including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Required to work various shifts and on weekends.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
