Job Description
Up to Date Laundry provides laundry services to the healthcare industry in Maryland, DC and the surrounding areas.  We are expanding our maintenance team and invite you to apply and be a part of the important work for the healthcare community.  We have two locations in Baltimore with full and part time positions available on both day and night shifts.  We have a comprehensive compensation and benefits package including vacation, sick and personal days, 401(k) plan, medical and dental insurance.
Job Summary:
The essential job duties of this position include troubleshooting, repairing equipment, performing necessary preventive maintenance in all areas of equipment including but not limited to sorting, washroom, production and ancillary equipment. 
We require working knowledge in the following areas:
- Troubleshooting electrical, electronic and pneumatic controls; rebuilding pumps, valves, regulators; and/or have an excellent understanding of steam systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and utilize a variety of testing equipment for troubleshooting of equipment and systems to the board level.
- Troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
Additional requirements include:
- Effectively communicate verbally and written.
- Manage multiple tasks and prioritize tasks based upon current working conditions.
- Possess basic tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) - specialty tools provided by the company.
- Minimum 1 year industrial/commercial maintenance experience.
The following certifications are a plus:
- Stationary engineering license.
- Accredited certificates for industrial maintenance trade school or electrical trade school.
- Accredited certificate for OSHA training.
- Machinist certificate.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements: The production department is a warehouse/plant that is not climate controlled and operates seven days a week.  Flexibility working on weekends and major holidays are necessary to provide year-round service to customers.  Must be able to perform tasks that require pulling, pushing, bending, twisting.  Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time, reach above head, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, talk, hear, close and long distance vision, use of fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, and controls.  Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion and carry tools throughout the weekday as needed.  Locations at Desoto and 62nd Street.
