Job Description

Hill International is seeking a Contracts Administrator in Washington, D.C.


  • Perform procurement and contract administration activities from inception to closeout while ensuring contract compliance throughout the process.
  • Collaboratively work to assemble the required project scopes, cost estimates, schedules and contractual terms and conditions to promote fair and open competition.
  • Support contract and task order negotiations.
  • Work closely with project team to administer contracts, ensuring delivery of services within the contract terms.
  • Serves as subject matter expert for FTA and Client procurement policies and guidelines.
  • Provide recommendations for contract interpretation, compliance, risk, and change management.
  • Work collaboratively to properly identify, vet, and advance potential changes while ensuring compliance with the contract requirements.
  • Maintain proper contract documentation and prepare claim files and decisions.
  • Collaborate with the project team, the Client, and the industry to gain input to upcoming procurements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • A Bachelor's Degree in business administration, engineering, construction management, or a related field. In lieu of a Degree, 15+ years of demonstrated contract administration experience.
  • 10+ years experience working in a procurement and contract administration role.
  • 3+ years experience of procurement and contract administration experience working with professional services contracts.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently on fast-paced, complex projects of large scope.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

  • Local to the D.C. metropolitan area. This is anticipated to be a hybrid position, with 3 days per week reporting to an office.
  • Five (5) years working with a public agency on transit or transportation capital improvement projects.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Procore, eBuilder.
