Job Description

Venable LLP's Financial Services Group seeks an associate with a minimum of two years of experience to join the practice in the Washington, D.C. office.

Our Financial Services practice handles a mix of law enforcement investigations, regulatory compliance counseling, and transactional work in the areas of payments and fintech, consumer and commercial lending, bank regulatory, and related areas. The successful candidate should be skilled at handling multiple workstreams involving consumer and business financial services laws and regulations at both the federal and state levels. Experience in representing clients before the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, and state regulatory agencies is a plus.

Practice law the way you aspired to in law school and work closely with thought leaders in financial regulation industry. Associates are offered real opportunities to contribute, interact with clients, and participate in strategic decisions in a collegial environment. Candidates should be analytical thinkers with excellent academic credentials, and strong writing abilities. Candidates must hold a juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to and in good standing with the relevant jurisdiction's bar.
