• Lead the presentation of programs for school and public groups.
• Assist with preparation of exhibits and other interpretive materials.
• Assist with preparation programs for school and public groups.

• At least two years of high school education in some natural resource field.
• 1 year of college preferred.
• General knowledge of biology and ecology.
• At least a basic knowledge of flora and fauna of Northern Virginia.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the public and staff members.
• Ability to teach and engage children in learning.
• Availability to work additional hours during peak operating times, holidays, nights and weekends.
• Certification or ability to obtain certification in CPR and first aid and AED.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the position.
• Required to purchase and wear standard uniform.
