EVS Waste Disposal Tech Position Summary:
Responsible for cleaning and maintaining Medical Center departments/buildings in sanitary condition according to prescribed procedures.
The EVS Waste Disposal Tech will:
- Perform removal of all trash in accordance with D.O. T. Standards.
- Perform all segregation of trash. Assures recyclables, and Red bag Waste is disposed of properly.
- Handle and dispose of contaminated materials as prescribed.
- Ensure all trash holding areas are clean and free of debris on floors. Perform floor care by dry and wet mopping. Always dry mops prior to wet mopping. When mopping floors, uses germicide or a neutral cleaner established by procedures.
- Empty, clean and reline wastebaskets of all sizes in accordance with established schedule. Place all refuse into transport truck.
- Transfer trash from trash can into transport trucks located in holding area.
- Remove all infectious/hazardous waste from assigned areas according to Infection Control policy and established procedures. All regulations governing hazardous/infectious waste are followed to the letter. No violation of mishandling of waste is reported.
Work Hours: FT, Night Shift (10:30 pm - 7am), 40 hrs/wk, wknd work required

EVS Waste Disposal Tech Qualifications:
- Less than 6 months of previous experience
