Systems Engineer

AMT is looking for a Systems Engineer that has extensive experience working with Microsoft based products Cisco networking equipment. As this position is primary focused in working in a team environment the qualified candidate will be responsible for mentoring other. Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following

• Primary responsibility will be maintaining Windows 2000/2003 servers, provide application management, Active Directory management, Server Cluster administration network maintenance and support, security, backup and recovery.
• Engage with peers to accomplish daily tasks, and communicate with the customer point of contact daily.
• The senior systems engineer installs, maintains, and coordinates the use of servers and associated networks.
• Evaluates hardware and software
• Develops security procedures
• Analyzes network designs
• Researches new technologies
• Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems
• Implements and coordinates network policies, procedures, and standards.
• Working independently without direct supervision managing the environment is essential to success.
• This position is critical in making sure support is provided correctly.
• Additional Responsibilities Include:
  • Managing multiple site data centers and provide full server support to enterprise.
  • Manage all network hardware and Server equipment.
  • Creating scripts using Perl, Visual Basic, Batch Command.
  • Installing and upgrade network operating systems.
  • Network-based applications and provide advanced user support.
  • Backup Recovery Strategy and Administration

• MCSE 2003 Certification CCNA Certification (5 yrs)
• Experience working as a system/network engineer or administrator. (7yrs)
• Extensive experience working as a backup, recovery administrator using Backup Exec. (5yrs)
• Experience working with MS 2000/2003 servers (Expert Knowledge: Troubleshooting, administering, configuring, installation, patching, backup and recovery.) (5yrs)
• Extensive experience in security systems engineering; Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Intrusion Detection, Encryption (5yrs)
• Extensive data center management experience (5yrs)
• Windows Server Clustering Experience (5yrs)
• Scripting (Perl, Visual Basic, Batch Command, PowerShell) (5yrs)
• Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Services) Experience (3yrs)
• SQL Server 2000 or 2005, (3yrs)
• NetIQ, (5yrs)
• Experience supporting web application hosting environment Additional Experience (BIG Plus): F5 Experience Microsoft SharePoint Experience Microsoft Operations Manager Experience
• Bachelor's or equivalent experience
• Due to the nature of this position U.S. citizenship is required
